Studio 2014 network stays in active processes after closing

Hi all,

I encountered an issue with Trados Studio 2014 network. When I shut it down it stays in the active processes. Because we use network licences, this blocks the licence and can't even be run on the computer where it was shut, even if there are other licences avalible. The only way is to run a task manager and terminate the process manually.
Is this a known bug? Anyone has the same experience? Anyone knows how to get rid of it?

Any help appreciated.

Thanks

  • Hi Vojtech,

I seem to recall something about this but can't find the article.  I did find this one which might help, because one solution might be to put a script in place to automate what you are doing manually.  So I know the article isn't completely relevant but it may help.

Better handling of licenses is a benefit we'll see with Studio 2015 because we have implemented a major change and replaced the licensing system altogether.  If you contact your account manager, or support, you will get a better answer and may be able to use the alternative licensing system now as it can be used with Studio 2014 SP2 on request.
