Is it possible to turn a Translation Memory into a Termbase? I have multiple translation memories and XLIFF files but 0 termbases. There has to be an easier way than manually inputting my terms...
In fact this could be done quite easily by exporting them to TMX, opening the TMX in Okapi Olifant and copying the content to Excel. From Excel you can get a termbase with no efforts using the Glossary Converter app from the AppStore.
However, there is a huge culprit in here: a TM does contain data, which are not directly suitable for a termbase. A termbase should not contain full sentences, this simply does not make much sense. A much better way to have a termbase is creating a small Excel file with some few terms and descriptions to these and using the mentioned Glossary Converter app.
