Trados 2022 Term Recognition doesn't show any results.

The term recognition in Trados 2022 doesn't show any results.

It seems as if a result briefly flashes then disappears from the window. I've tried updating Trados to the latest version, removed one of three languages from the TB so that it only contains two, activated/deactivated the TB, etc. I've seen this issue mentioned many times, and none of the solutions I've seen (reorganizing etc.) have worked.

Could someone please help me find a solution? This is an extremely important function, as I oftentimes work with very technical texts where I use the TB extensively.

Thanks in advance,

  • Hi Lydia,

    Thank you for your response!

I've tried everything that's mentioned in the post you linked to, as well as the KB article regarding file type exceptions (I only use Windows 11s Security Software).

Both Trados 2022 and Multiterm 2022 are up to date, and the Termbase entry viewer is, of course, open.

I tried reorganizing the TB; I've removed and added the TB and restarted trados; I had a TB with 3 languages that I removed and then created a new one with 2 languages instead; I had a TB in my preferred folder location, I created a new one in the default TB location (documents\Studio 2022\Termbases); I always start Trados elevated (as administrator); there can't be an issue with the database index, as I used completely new TBs. Nothing fixes the problem.

Please note that SOME of the TB entries are sometimes shown right after opening Trados and the project, but then end up disappearing. Entries will flash quickly in the viewer, and if I try to add an existing term (that doesn't show in the viewer) I get a message that it already exists in the TB.

    Thanks for all help Pray,

    -Ari
