Missing carriage return/line feed in target xml file

Question

Hello, 
 My target xml files do not have the source line breaks within xml elements. Is there something specific I should do to have the target match the source format? 
 Here's an example: 
 Source xml file with line breaks within element: 
 
 Editor segmentation: 
 
 Target xml file, which outputs the content of the element within a single line:

Hi Romain Neveu , 
 I think you need to select Always Preserve in your file type (in the whitespace section, as return characters are considered whitespaces ), and then re-open the XML file with the new file type:
