Unable to select user to assign project package to when creating a project package in Trados Studio 2022

Hi,

In Trados Studio 2022 when creating a project package it's not possible to select a user to assign the package to, even if the user list contains several users. Selecting a user is required to proceed to the next stage.

Is there a workaround in place for this? I would appreciate to know, in case there is. :)

Thanks a lot in advance! :)

Kind regards,

Dennis

Trados Studio 2022 error message popup saying 'Please specify a user to assign the package to' with an 'OK' button, while the 'Assign to' field is empty.

Is this the first time you are faced with this problem?
Have you been able to create/assign packages to others in the past?

If you go to File - Setup - Users, please then check to see if all users in your list has an email address associated.

I have heard of cases where there is something wrong with the list of users and its prevented packages from being assigned

I hope this helps - do keep in touch

  • Hi Lydia,

Thanks for getting back to me on this. Blush

I have encountered this issue several times and had to open the project in a previous version of Studio in order to create a project package.

I checked the user list under File – Setup – Users according to your description, and everything looked correct. However, checking again in Studio using the Create Project Package wizard, none of the users appeared in the selection list for user assignment.

But I have now tried a different approach, which solved the issue:
I deleted all users under File – Setup – Users and created them from scratch. This little trick solved the issue, and the users are now appearing correctly in the selection list in the wizard, and I can create a project package. Blush
