Hi all
I'm at my wits end with this error. I have followed the instruction found here https://gateway.rws.com/csm?id=kb_article_view&sysparm_article=KB0031983 and https://gateway.rws.com/csm?id=kb_article_view&sysparm_article=KB0032269 but the same error message appears and I cannot start Trados Studio 2022.
If was fine until I tried to install this Language Weaver plugin but now I can't resolve the issue.
Does anyone know more about this?

Try a reset and start again ONLY by installing plugins directly through the integrated appstore. To do this just close Trados Studio and then rename this folder:
c:\Users\%username%\AppData\Roaming\Trados\Trados Studio\Studio17\
to c:\Users\%username%\AppData\Roaming\Trados\Trados Studio\Studio17_old\
Finally restart Trados Studio.

Thanks for the swift reply and the help. I had to reinstall the plug-in from the website and renamed the files as you said. Then Trados prompted me with an option to activate or not activate the "third party" plug-in. When I chose not to activate it (which I had to do twice), then Trados opened. Now I can work from the integrated app store.

Good it now works. But I'm wondering about this part:

Which plugin is giving you this message? I have a feeling that you may need to clear out your plugins and reinstall them, unless you really do have an unsigned plugin installed.

It was the Language Weaver plugin. Once I could open Trados again I have uninstalled it from within the application.
I'll leave it at that for the moment and try to reinstall it at a later point (but certainly only when Trados is opened and from within the application after this little hickup).
Paul I'm having the same problem, I've tried everything I see here and in another post from the Knowledge Base. I've renamed folders and files, deleted plug-in folders, I still get the same message. My Trados is now unusable. Should I simply uninstall it and reinstall it? (I got this problem when trying to install the Language Weaver update).
Paul Never mind, I reset Trados to its basic settings...
I also have this problem. I have tried all the proposed solutions, renaming / deleting folders and reinstalled / repaired Trados but the installation is still broken, Luckily I have a spare licence but it is a pain to deactivate a licence when the program will not open.
ANy advice?
I fixed it by renaming the PlugIns folder under C:\ProgramData\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\16 (using Trados 2021). Presume that overrides the settings under the individual user directory. Phew!
