Font formatting

Urgent,

Hello, I'm new at Trados. The font of the target is different from the source.

How can I fix that, please?

Beside the formatting you most probably did not apply to your target segment, your computer may miss the font used in the document. As such a font will be substituted when showing in Studio with a font present on your computer, due to languages used the font of source and target may differ, because the source font may not support your target language.

To avoid any such problems, go to File -> Options -> Editor and chose to show only tags and no formatting:

Trados Studio Options menu with 'Formatting display style' dropdown set to 'Show all tags but do not show formatting' highlighted in red.

This way the formatting will not be shown anymore and you will see text in Arial on both sides. This makes work much easier.

In your project settings go to Verification -> Tag Verifier -> Common and chose NOT to ignore formatting tags:

Trados Studio Verification settings with 'Ignore formatting tags' option unchecked and highlighted in red.

This will prevent any missing formatting in target.
