Trados changes comma to dot after exporting the target file (DE > EN)

Hi,

I have a problem when saving an .idml target file and converting it into a PDF file.

Here's an example:

In Trados, I have the following segment (DE>EN):

Screenshot of Trados Studio segment showing German to English translation with a comma after 'A4' in both versions.

Notice that there's a comma after "A4" both in the German and English version.

My usual workflow with these .idml files is to save the target file in a specific folder which converts it to a PDF file.

When I open the PDF file, there's suddenly a dot after "A4" instead of the comma:

At the moment, I'm assuming that Trados thinks the German comma is a decimal separator and that's why this happens, but I don't understand why the dot doesn't appear in the Trados Editor view but only when I export and convert the file to PDF.

The current workaround for this issue is that colleagues from another team within the company edit the PDF for me, but I would rather be able to solve this issue myself and not create additional work for them.

Has anyone else encountered this problem and found a solution?

Thanks in advance!
