I currently have studio installed on drive C; but it is getting quite full and I want to move studio to drive D; how do I go about it. Executing a new download just overwrites the existing installation without any option for determining a new destination f

  • Hi Michael,

Another possible workaround is to move all of these folders to your D: drive: Alignment Results, AutoSuggest Dictionaries, Project Templates, Projects, Termbases, TMs. That way, you still have the program itself on C: but all user files related to Studio (such as big TMs) are stored elsewhere where you have more space. You just need to remember to change the default storage location for projects, TMs, etc. to the new location (e.g. D:/MyDocuments/Studio/Projects) in your project templates or in Options. You only need to do that once.

If doing that will free up enough space for you, it's a much easier (and less risky) way than trying to trick the Installer.
