Status bar not showing

Question

For reasons unknown the status bar in the bottom left corner of the Editor windows has disappeared. I would expect an option in the View tab to allow me to turn it on again, but for the life of me I can't find it there, and Google & the generally useless "Show me" function didn't help. 
 Can anybody point me how to get it back again? Thank you!

HI Peter Müller Didn't you mean the bottom right corner? What happens when you use this command?

Thank you for your answer. I finally discovered that I had somehow accidentally changed the display from full-screen to window mode, and part of the window (with the status bar) was off the display. Duh. So, problem solved.
