Could I also mention another small bug that has cropped up in Studio 2015?

This time it concerns quotation marks (English ones).

I translate German into English, and constantly have to change the German quotation marks into English ones. Previously (up to and including Studio 2014) only straight ones were available in Studio, not curly ones. Now, in Studio 2015, I appear to be getting curly ones, but the front ones often curl the wrong way:

”Exit”

Could this be fixed please?

Thanks.

  • Hi Paul,

Sorry, my two questions seem to have got mixed up, because Fasil answered about the quotation marks to my other post.

The quotation marks above look OK, because of the font used in this forum, but the curly ones going the wrong way that turn up in Studio, and subsequently in Word (in the font Arial), really look silly. In regard to that issue, they simply go the wrong way.

In regard to the other issue that I am having, it seems to concern a bug with apostrophes. I had at first thought it concerned terms consisting of more than one word, but in fact it only relates to the use of apostrophes. An example is that I had a term "shareholders' meeting". What happens when I insert that from either the terms in the Multiterm window or via Autosuggest is that my cursor is subsequently located directly after the apostrophe following "shareholders", instead of after the word "meeting". When I then keep on typing the translation of the remainder of that sentence fast, forgetting the problem, the words "shareholders" and "meeting" gradually get further and further apart, as what I subsequently type is inserted there in between the two words. The same goes for any other terms involving an apostrophe.

    Best regards,

    Astrid
