Failure to open certain sdlxliff files

Hello,

Some of my colleagues are experiencing issues with translation packages. We are using Trados 2022 and did not face the issue with Trados 2014 which we were using previously.

They sometimes cannot open specific documents, and the error message under “Warning” reads this: “Failure to open [file name.sdlxliff]”, and then “The file [file name.sdlxliff] cannot be found”.

 

Below, under “Error”, it also reads “The file in the location [file path] does not exist”.

However, the sdlxliff file is indeed present in the right location.

 

This is causing major problems because we had to turn down translation jobs, and the issue may also happen halfway through the translation (i.e. we can open the file, start translating it, but cannot reopen the file the next day).

Below you will find a screenshot of the error message. To be clear again: the relevant file is located in the right folder, so it is a not problem with a missing file on our drives. Trados simply cannot seem to open certain files, and we do not understand why.
