I think it would help if you shared a screenshot, or even a short video.  You should also explain:

• what IME are you using?
• what font have you got set up in the source file and also in Trados Studio for Tamil?

I am using NHM writer for IME

for source file its Arial and for Tamil it Latha (unicode)

Please can you try another IME?  I don't know which one is best, but I think this problem is more likely to be related to the input tool you're using.  Perhaps try Microoft and test if it behaves more effectively: https://www.microsoft.com/en-in/bhashaindia/downloads.aspx

I have installed Tamil and I don't see any backwards movement or blanks spaces.  But I don't have a clear way to reproduce what you're doing since I don't speak Tamil.  If you can help me reproduce the problem by telling me what to type on an English keyboard I'd be happy to see if the problem is here too?
