Hi, I use SDL Studio 2019 and term recognition doesn't work anymore. It just keeps showing "searching for terms ..." but nothing happens. The term banks are locally stored on my computer. The term search works (when I type in a term), just not the term recognition function. What went wrong?

Maybe check you have compatible versions... latest would be Trados Studio 2019 SR2 - 15.2.8.3007 and MultiTerm 2019 - 15.0.6.56482.
Have you tried reorganising your Termbase?

Thanks for your answer. I have the versions you mentioned and I have just reorganised the termbase. Still nothing ...
What language pair is your project... the full language (de-DE or de-AT for example)?
What languages are in your Termbase?
Can you share a screenshot of this view (Copy/Paste or use the insert menu to add the image)?

ok - quick question. You have two language pairs in your project. Deliberate or an oversight? Which language pair have you opened? Sometimes this can cause confusion and users don't even realise they did this.
A quick check would be to open your source file in a new single file project (Ctrl+Shift+O), then add your termbase and see if it works?

Thanks, but it didn't work with the initial two languages (US English and German), that's why I added UK English. No change ..
Ctrl+Shift+O doesn't do anything on my system. All my files are single files anyway. Thanks for your help. There seems to be something fundamentally wrong, though.

They might be single files, you have not created a single file project. You have two language pairs in your project settings so this must be a "Studio Project" and not a "Single file project".
There seems to be something fundamentally wrong, though.
Maybe, but until we prove your termbase can actually work it's hard to see where the issue is. Creating a single file project is the simplest method to quickly check. Just open the source file with File -> Open -> Translate Single Document, select your language pair, add your termbase and see if it works.
