Retrofit does not work with generated target files?

Question

I tried to update my sdlxliff files from icmls generated with the "Generate Target Translations" batch task. It did not work, I got a "One or more files not supported" error for each file. Checked the manual to see whether there is a restriction on file types, but there seems to be none. However, read below quote from the manual (HL is mine): 
 "If an external reviewer performs changes to a file you previously exported using the Export Files batch task with the Target version option , you can import those changes back to your Trados Studio project. This process is called Retrofit . After the changes are imported, you can review the updates in the Editor view using tracked changes." 
 Is that really a limitation, that I can't use retrofit if I exported the files using "Generate Target Translations"?

Hi 
 I managed to retrofit these files after all, but not all of them at once, which is fine. I was surprised that it should matter that I tried all at once, and it failed, I was also confused as to what the manual meant (see above). Might be worth improving the wording of the manual. I should have saved the stack trace, but didn't. My bad. So thanks for responding, I'd say the problem is solved and when/if it comes up next I will save the stack trace so that we have a starting point.

It's first time I'm seeing someone using retrofit on InCopy files; and multiple of them for that matter ... so that might come into play I did not find any histroy on this topic to date. I am happy to receive your files and see what I can find or log accordingly Let me know how I can help
