I'm having trouble generating the target translation for an idml file, with an error message in Swedish that says is it's not possible to translate the Unicode character XXX etc. I've been told the character is an emoji, but the document is an annual report so it seems unlikely it would contain emojis ... Does anybody know how this problem might be solved?

Yes, that's exactly it! Thank you so much! I asked a colleague for help and what she did when she could not generate the target file in Studio was to try memoQ instead and apparently that worked ... So, every reason for RWS to hurry up and find a fix:-)

Charlotte Sjögren , I did some digging and this item is fixed in the next version of the InDesign filter (IDML 1.9.12).
So do keep your eye out in future release notes
