Translated text from excel restricted to 31 characters

Question

In Studio 2014 I have this error message when I am trying to print or view the output file.

In the options for the file I have switched the Excel file option to - "Do not translate file names" but the problem persist. 
 Can anyone help please?

Hi Louise, 
There seems to be some confusion here between "file names" (for the whole *xlsx file or "workbook") and "worksheet names". The 31 character limit applies to the individual worksheet name in the tab at the bottom, with the default names Sheet1, Sheet2, etc. 
They are imported into Studio as normal translatable segments, so there is the possibility of translation causing the length to go over 31 characters. 
This will then generate the error you have and prevent the target file from being created.
