How to oppdate changes to sdlxliff file?

Hello!

I work very seldom with files created by clients, so Im not sure what to do.

I received an sdlxliff file from a client, saved the target file as a word-file, corrected the translation and sent back a final word- file with the translation.

The client wants me now to "send back the oppdated Trados file with changes I have made in the word-file".

How do I update the sdlxliff file with this changes that were made in a word file without track-changes (I didnt have it on)? And what kind of file should I send dem in return?? I dont quite get it.

I didnt get this file as a "package" so Its not possible to create a return package and I didnt get any TM together with this file either.

I am not sure what they want me to do. Please help, im so confused:

1.  how to update the Trados-file with the changes I made in the target word-file.

2. What kind of file should I send in return, if its not a package, and never was in the first place?

You should have corrected the sdlxliff, with track changes on and then you could have done two things:

    1. save the target file so you had a Word file with track changes for your customer (if they wanted it)
    2. send the sdlxliff file with track changes
How do I update the sdlxliff file with this changes that were made in a word file without track-changes (I didnt have it on)? And what kind of file should I send dem in return?? I dont quite get it.

All being well it should not be too difficult to resolve using Retrofit.  Here's a quick video to explain this better...
