Hello everybody,
I have translated a huge pdf file from Italian to Engish with TRados Studio 2022. The source file was a pdf. The target file is a word. The TM did not update and I would need it for a second big translation for the same client. I have tried to align the documents (the pdf source with the word target and also pdf source and xliff target) but it does not work. Would anybody know how to hande this case so that I can work with an updated TM?

The TM did not update
I think you need to clarify why it didn't update first as this is almost certainly due you to not setting up your project correctly. Once you understand what you did wrong you should be able to update the translation you already have for the original project by running a batch task to update the TM from your translation.
If you don't have the original translation project for some reason and need to align source and target files it would help if you answer this question:

This confusing for a few reasons, but given you mentioned the XLIFF target it makes me think you have got the original project files with the source and target translations in them. Is this so?
Once we can understand what you have we will know better how to best provide you with some sensible help.

Dear Paul,
the project should have been set up correctly by a friend of mine who is much more acquainted with Trados Studio than I am. I cannot not tell you if there something was not performed cirrectly..
I confirm I do have the XLIFF target file with the original source and the translation in them. I ran a batch task from this file to update the memory but still it does not update all the segments.

How do you know? I appears to have done something from your explanation so you must have the correct settings to update. So what is different about the ones that did not update? How do you know they did not update?

Meanwhile I opened the translation memory and I scrolled it through and made a few researches. It seems to be all there! Also the memory increased in volume after the batch task/ update of memory. So, it seems to be OK! I am very happy, thank you very much for your guidance!
