We have a client who provides us with xliff files that need to be translated into 5 different languages. They are not able to provide us with one set of xliff files for each target language (TL), so we have asked them to leave the target language element empty, so that Trados will let us choose any TL when we open the files. This works quite well, but there is one problem: when we convert the translated sdlxliffs back into xliffs, Trados does not populate the TL element with the TL we have chosen in our Trados project. Our client needs the TL element to be populated for the translated xliffs to be imported successfully into their platform.
Is there any easy way to have the TL element populated with the appropriate TL when we convert the sdlxliffs back to xliffs? We know we can do this in Notepad++, but we were wondering if there is an easier way.
Thank you in advance!
Kind Regards,
Claudia
