Convert Trados SDLXLIFF back to idt

And I was sent an idt file froma  client and asked to translate it in Trados. I did and returned it as an SDLXLIFF file. The client came back and said they couldn't open it and asked me to convert it back to an idt file. Is this possible to do in Trados?

Thanks,

  • Hi Annabelle,

Yes, this is totally possible in SDL Trados Studio.

Highlight the project in your Projects list in Studio, right-click and select 'Generate Target Translations'.
The file will appear in the source language folder of your project.

Or, with the sdlxliff file open in Studio, go to File>Save as Target.
Again, the translated file in its original format will be created in the source language folder of your project.

If you do not know where that is, right click on the file in the Files list in Studio and select 'Explore containing folder'.

    All the best,
    Ali
