There will ever be Trados optimized for Mac?

Hello team of Trados !

I am a freelance translator and I run Trados since 2021 on my MacBook pro.

Because of the difficulty of use (the installation of windows obviously slows all the processes and occupies a huge amount of ram) and the expenses (windows, parallels..), I am testing other CAT Tools and sadly thinking of abandon Trados.

Since I like Tradoa, I live hoping a version of Trados for Mac users gets developed, before I definitely abandon it. Thus, I wanted to ask you:

Are you ever planning of launching a Mac version of Trados? Do you think this could ever happen?

Thank you very much for your assistance,

Sara

I think it's very unlikely that we will ever create a desktop version of Trados Studio that runs in the current MAC environment without using parallels or some other similar tool to put windows into a MAC.  It may be that Apple start to support a .NET environment in the future and this would help... I did hear work of this nature some time ago, although to be honest I have not followed this development.

For now however you could work with the online version as this will work in a browser which means you could work natively in your MAC.  Every Freelance licence since 2021 offers this possibility where you can create your projects and work on them entirely online.
