Is it possible to merge segments within a translation memory? How can this be done?

I'm working on editing a TM in Studio and I need to join some segments. I've searched and only found the solution to merge segments within a bilingual file. 
 I'd like to join the segments into a single one:

It is currently not possible to merge segments within a translation memory as there is no split\merge functionality. However, there is nothing stopping you from copying\pasting text from one segment to another and then marking the segment you no longer need for deletion.
