Question about aligning an xml file

Question

I have two .xml files that go like this

<Keyword>Overlay1</Keyword>

<Text>Translatable text here</Text>

</Translation>

I would like to align the "text" by the "keyword" (ID) which both files have. I understand I need some sort of xml parsing rules but I couldn't find how to align files like that. Trados literally just aligns them line by line but the two files are not organized (even though they have the same amount of text, the order is different) so trados tries to align them line by line. Any help would be appreciated

 I think the first question is are the source and target files exactly the same, just that one is in English and the other in another language? Or is the order of the target file completely different to the source because it was translated as part of some other process... or something?

 You can edit the alignment so you don't have to accept an auto-alignment if this is what you've done?
