If the number is formatted as superscript, such as ², then I may be not possible to segment it as you wish. Which kind of file is it? For example, in Word, the Superscript button would be pressed if the number is selected:

On the other hand, if it is a Unicode character, such as ², then you should be able to segment it (the regex rule is something like \.²)
