How to exclude hidden text?

Hello!

I am working on a regular Word file and, at some point, "behind" a table, Trados must have seen a lot of HIDDEN TEXT, which is not visible in the Word file but is shown in the Trados Editor.

In fact, there is a great word count difference between Word and Trados. Obviously this text should NOT be translated.

How can I remove it, so that Trados does not include it in the view and word count?

Thanks for help!

Hidden text is set in Word on the Font dialog box. It may be shown in Word with this underline format:

Has your hidden text in Word this formatting? If so, it’s hidden text. Another possibility is that the text is not really hidden, but has white colour or is behind an image (in these 2 cases you don’t really see the text in Word unless you select it or delete temporarily the image). You have de final say…

Now, by default, hidden text it’s not extracted by Trados Studio. You can check your Project Settings here (if it’s a DOCX file, or under Microsoft Word 97-2003 if it's a DOC file):

If this check box is ticked, your hidden text will be extracted by Trados Studio.
