Please post the specs of your PC. I strongly assume, that this is your bottle neck.

My PC is a brand new Dell XPS 15 9520 running Windows 11.

Not sure what specs you need (I'm a little useless with this!) but here's what I see:

12th Generation Intel Core i7-12700H

32GB (2x16GB) DDR5 4800MHz

1TB M.2 PCIe NVMe Solid State Drive

So it is not your PC.

Have you upgraded your translation memories? Otherwise I would not expect Studio to be that very slow. 2022 is indeed slower as 2011, but you can influence the speed by for example switching off the fragment-matching. I have a similar Dell and the speed of Studio is acceptable. My is even weaker with i7-1250U.

Out of curiosity, why is Studio 2022 slower than the 2011 version?

Only based on my experience: S2022 does much more operations in the background, the TMs have a much more complicated structure and I think many more. Only RWS (formerly SDL) staff can tell you more. I haven't used S2011 since more or less 10 years, so I even cannot really compare. But provided the abilities of Studio 2022 I would never go back...

So you are not using the potential sleeping in S2022. This is really as simple as that. Possibly you simply do not need to.
