My office just modernized the translator suites but didn't "properly" export the translator memory from WorkBench before jumping to Trados Studio 2021. We have the old translator memory in .tmw format, but when trying to upgrade the memory using SDL Trados Compatibility and Migration Power Pack, it asks for an administrator password that doesn't exist. We no longer have WorkBench to try the export feature. Any ideas on how to upgrade the old translator memory or remove this password?

Gosh that is a problem.
What is your account reference / order number?
If upgrading meant a new license, then chances are you have both Workbench download and license still in your customer account.
Although I am sure it would ask for the password during Workbench export as well.

I assume the translation memory file is just set to read-only, nothing to do with a password.
Why don't you take a look at the file properties of the tmw file?
If the read-only attribute is checked, uncheck it and try to upgrade again.

File based TM's can have passwords set on them ranging from Read Only through to Administration related functions.
