Hi, Oana! My Normal.dotm file is empty, I also tried deleting it to force Word to recreate it, but this doesn't work, unfortunately.

Since your Normal.dotm file is empty and deleting it didn't resolve the issue, you can try the following

Step 1: Close Trados Studio and any Microsoft Office applications.

Step 2: Open Microsoft Word and go to File > Options > Trust Center > Trust Center Settings.

Step 3: In the Trust Center, click on "Trusted Locations" and then "Add new location."

Step 4: Add the following location: C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\INetCache\Content.Word. Make sure to replace %username% with your actual Windows username.

Step 5: Click "OK" to save the changes and close Microsoft Word.

Step 6: Restart your computer.

Step 7: Open Trados Studio and go to File > Options > Editor > Spelling. Try selecting the MS Word Spell Checker again.

Hi John B ,

I can't add that path to the Trusted Locations:

Trados Studio and all Office applications closed (Word, Excel and Outlook). Only Word re-opened to add that path (with my real username).

My setup is Windows 10 + Word 365.

If someone can do it, please let me know...

I get the same error.

Thank you, John, but  unfortunately it doesn't work. I've already tried everything (I think) that's been published on the forum about this issue, but nothing works. I hope someone has a new suggestion. I am really not in the mood to reinstall my Windows right now, and I am not even sure that would fix the problem. Unfortunately, the default spell checker doesn't work for my language.
