Segmentation Rules setting for xml

Question

Hello, I am now using Trados Studio 2021 SR2 - 16.2.12.9338. 
 When I tried to translate an xml file, the segmentation was always annoying. It often does not follow the segmentation rule of using periods as segmentation mark. Please see the following examples. 
 
 Here segmentation happens at the name of the three models which were accompanied by emphasis labels, however on line 5944 there is a period yet no segmentation. 
 
 Here the segmentation happens at a bracket, another place of segmentation is after Para. which was an Acronym of paragraph. Why? 
 Would anyone be so kind to instruct me how to edit the segmentation rules to avoid all the above from happening?

 I think your first example occurs because there is no space after the period. 
 The second seems to be driven by the lack of an abbreviation in your segmentation rules. 
 But I would make sense to include the XML and this can be different as XML can cause segmentation too. So a snippet of the XML and also your parser rules would be useful to help you.
