The status display in the editor window, showing how much has been translated, doesn't register any progress.

Hi,

I'm working on a machine translated text and the % of words confirmed stays the same. In the files window, the amount translated remains at 0%. This is not tragic, just a bit annoying - it's so nice to know you're making progress :-)

  • Hi Adrian,

This is annoying indeed and inconsistent which makes it tricky to resolve. Did you try running any of the other batch tasks to see if this would refresh where the wordcount failed? Perhaps the analysis? It is a workaround I know, but until the problem gets resolved it might help.

  • Hi all,

As discussed before, the wordcount / percentage values bottom right of the Editor display have always been a tad inaccurate, whether within the document or by comparison to the project statistics. However, since 2015 CU1, I am finding this behaviour is more extreme. Sometimes, as described above, the wordcount / % does not update to show the job as complete. This is happening with xml-based projects. However, as you say Paul, it is inconsistent so hard to define why it's happening.

I decided to open a project where this was happening on a different machine to the one I completed it on, to see if the wordcount properties carry across but I couldn't open the project. Error message 'This project cannot be opened in the Studio Edition you are using. Only project packages or single documents can be opened.'

Obviously creating a new project based on this project works fine and the whole wordcount / 100% is marked as complete.

    So not much help there...

All the best from almost sunny Cornwall,
    Ali :)
