Error "The method or operation is not implemented" is displayed in the window when using the "Align multiple file" function.

Trados Studio 2022 - 17.0.5.14757
The error "The method or operation is not implemented" is displayed in the window when using the "Align multiple file" function.
Click on the area inside the red frame to show the error message.
Trados Studio 2022 Align Documents window with an empty Documents for Alignment list. A red frame highlights the area where the error message 'The method or operation is not implemented' appears when clicked.
To avoid errors, I click Finish instead of clicking this area to proceed with the Alignment.
Is this error a known bug?

Please let me know if you know about it.

I dont see the error, but can you save the stack trace please?

I did find an internal CRQ-12724 but they could not reproduce it in Studio 2021 SR1I do note you are using 2022

    What is your file formats?
Does it always fail or is it format/file specific.

I mention this due to the error being associated to IDML, see here
Might also be worth checking the integrity of your files, see here as a start

    Do keep in touch

  • Hello,

I understand that you're encountering an error message when using the "Align multiple file" function in Trados Studio 2022. The error message you're experiencing, "The method or operation is not implemented," is not directly related to the previous issue you mentioned in the context.

To troubleshoot this issue, please follow these steps:

Step 1: Ensure that your Trados Studio 2022 is up to date. You can check for updates within the application.

Step 2: Reset your Trados Studio settings to default. To do this, go to File > Setup > Reset to Default Settings.

Step 3: If the issue persists, try repairing your Trados Studio installation. You can do this by going to the Windows Control Panel, selecting Programs and Features, finding Trados Studio 2022 in the list, right-clicking it, and selecting Repair.

If the problem still persists after trying these steps, it might be a bug that needs to be reported to the Trados development team. You can provide feedback on issues through the Trados Studio application by going to Help > Submit Feedback.

I hope this helps! If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

    Best regards,

    RWS Community AI

Can you provide a few sample files where you can reproduce this?  You can email them to pfilkin at sdl dotcom if you can't share them in the forum.  Also confirm whether you are are using default DITA filetype settings, if not please can you share the settings file as well.
