does this happen with a specific WSXZ package, or with all WSXZ packages?

Can you check which version of the Worldserver Components you have installed? You should have the one below, which you can download from the RWS App store:

Follow these steps:

1- Close Trados Studio 2021
2- Go to the RWS App store and download the WorldServer Components for Studio 2021
3- A zip file called WorldServerComponents.zip will be downloaded
4- Unzip the zip file and find the installer WorldServerComponents.msi
5- Click on it to run it. The installation will be very fast
6- Go to your Apps and Features and confirm that you have this version installed now 16.10.1894

Now open Trados Studio 2021 again and open the WSXZ package by clicking on "Open WorldServer Package". Does the error still occur?

Please, forgive my late response - I was on vacation.

As per your questions:

1. This is generally an issue with all WSXZ files I've tried to open. My colleagues using other versions of Studio are able to open the packages I'm unable to open.

2. I have already had installed the WorldServer Components package you mention. Re-installation (completed as per your instructions) yielded no effect - the same error message pops up. I'm unsure how to check the installed version of this package - I cannot find the "Apps and Features" you mention. Where in the software to look for this tab/section?

I thought perhaps some other custom plug-in might interfere with this one. Would that be possible?

I have Studio 2022 installed so the WorldServer components look like this for me:

You should see WorldServer Components 2021 and version 16.10.1894

Looking at your error - however - the issue could be related to Multiterm conversion. If you can, send me a package at clazzarini@rws.com and I will check its content.

I tried removing MultiTerm from my disk altogether, but it didn't help. Then I reinstalled it, but no change still.

Unfortunately I cannot share the package with you due to confidentiality reasons. Perhaps if you told me how you planned to proceed once you got the package, I might be able to ask one of my colleagues to do the same (as they have clearance to see the package contents).
