XML preview stops displaying images after a while

I am translating XML files using an XSLT script to get a custom preview, similar to here: https://multifarious.filkin.com/2013/02/22/translate-with-style/

I have many files, each containing an image and some associated text. I merge them on the fly in the editor.

This is working well, but after a couple of files (50-60), the previewer stops displaying images.

Any clue what might cause that? A memory problem? Is there a workaround?

  • Hello Daniel,

It seems that you are experiencing issues with the XML preview not displaying images after translating a certain number of files using a custom XSLT script. While the issue you mentioned in the context is related to the preview function not working for custom XML file types with embedded HTML content, your issue might be different.

It could be a memory problem or a limitation in the preview functionality. Here are a few steps you can try to resolve the issue:

Step 1: Save your work and close Trados Studio.

Step 2: Restart Trados Studio and reopen the project to see if the issue persists.

Step 3: Check if there are any updates available for Trados Studio and install them if necessary.

Step 4: Verify that your XSLT script is correctly handling the images and not causing any conflicts.

If the issue persists, you may want to consider reporting it as a potential bug or enhancement request for future releases of Trados Studio.
