Almost certainly because the developer needs to update their plugin.  There's a fair bit of information on this in the release notes and on page 42 in particular you'll find this section:

AppStore plugins

Trados Studio 2022 SR1 introduces several language infrastructure updates that may result in compatibility issues with certain existing apps, particularly those that interact with language metadata, like NMT apps. Although new versions of these apps are not bundled with this Studio release, many have been updated and are available through the integrated AppStore in Trados Studio, or by download from the RWS AppStore. To avoid potential issues, we advise you to uninstall all apps before installing Trados Studio 2022 SR1, and then reinstall them once Studio SR1 is in place via the integrated AppStore. Navigate to Add-Ins > RWS App Store and update all listed apps before you begin using the new Studio version. Please note that not all apps will have been updated yet for compatibility with Trados Studio 2022 SR1 and it is possible an incompatible app could attempt to load into Studio. Therefore, uninstalling all apps before installing SR1 can reduce, but not completely eliminate, the risk of installing an incompatible app. If you encounter any problems, please report them in the RWS Community using this link .
