Trados Studio 2022: Term Recognition with Cloud Terminology stopped working after update to Trados Studio 17.1.6.16252

  • I have updated Trados Studio 2022 to version 17.1.6.16252 yesterday.
  • I am working on a project using Termbases shared with my account on language cloud ("Cloud Based Terminology") and IATE Terminology provider. The project was set up before the update.
  • After the update, Term Recognition with the Cloud Based Terminology provider (and with the IATE Provider) has stopped working. it may work for a few minutes, but after a while Term Recognition just hangs on "Searching for terms...", or just doesn't find anything, when I know it should. This happens also after I have removed the IATE Terminology provider.
  • I haven't been able to identify an event that makes term recognition stop working. I am basically working away editing segments and moving to the next segments via CTRL-ENTER.
  • If I hover the mouse over the Termbase Search tab, I get the following message:

Unexpected exception when initializing view part Termbase Search

Steps that I have taken so far:

  • I have updated Multiterm to version 17.1.1.2185
  • I have deleted the file lcTerminologyProvider.json from C:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Roaming\SDL\SDL Language Cloud Terminology Provider so that Studio creates it again

Note:

  • My colleague has not run the update, and is able to use the Cloud Based Terminology provider normally
  • There is no network issue.

Anybody has run into the same issue? Any suggestions on how to fix or work around it so that I can keep using the Cloud based termbases?
