shared keyboard shortcut between XBench QA and Web Lookup

I am not sure whether I accidentally assigned Alt+F8 for XBench QA (which doesn't seem likely), but I found that both XBench QA and Web Lookup use Alt+F8 to invoke their programs.  I removed Alt+F8 from the keyboard shortcut list for XBench, since I only need to run QA at the end of each project.  I thought I would post this here in the Community for people who use both apps and may be experiencing this issue as I was.

  • Hi Chun-yi,

I guess it's not the normal culprit if your screen didn't turn upside down ;-) I think the only way to track these things down, as they are application specific is to check the keyboard shortcuts in the programs you have running. It might even be something in Studio so worth checking there too. You can sort the shortcuts by shortcuts and then it's easy to spot the duplicates. Studio should not really allow a duplicate to be created, but it happens.

In other applications I think it's a one by one approach. So work through the applications you use, probably the ones running when you use Studio which should narrow it down, and just look at what's being used.

    Regards

    Paul

  • Hi Paul,

Thank you for your suggestion. I checked in Studio and did not see Ctrl+Alt+Down being used for other functions. It is too much work to check other programs one by one, so I will try to get used to my new Ctrl+Down for Quickplace, as I have never used Ctrl+Down for move to next segment anyway.
