There is no issue here.  The numbering is automatically managed by Word.  They are fields in Word, and not translatable text.

If you want to change them to some other script then you will need to do this in Word under the advanced options.  

1. Click on the File menu at the top left corner of the Word window.
2. Click on Options near the bottom of the menu.
3. In the Word Options window that appears, click on Advanced.
4. Scroll down to the Numeral section.
5. Click on the drop-down menu next to Numeral and select the option you need.
6. Click OK to close the Word Options window. Your numbering should now be based on the selection you made.

For me I am offered the following:

1. Arabic: This setting will produce "Western Arabic numerals", which are the numbers most familiar to Western readers (0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9).

2. Hindi: Despite the name, this setting actually means it will use Eastern Arabic numerals (٠, ١, ٢, ٣, ٤, ٥, ٦, ٧, ٨, ٩) that are commonly used in the Middle East.

3. Context: This setting will choose the type of numerals based on the language of the text. For example, if you're writing in English or another Western language, it will use Western Arabic numerals. If you're writing in Arabic, it will use Eastern Arabic numerals. This can be helpful if you're writing a document that contains text in multiple languages.

4. System: This setting will use the default numeral system for the language chosen in your operating system's regional settings. This means that if your operating system is set to English (United States), it will use Western Arabic numerals. If it's set to Arabic (Saudi Arabia), it will use Eastern Arabic numerals.

Remember that these settings affect all numbers in the document, including dates, page numbers, times, and so on.

When I translated the document and exported it, the order of numbers remained left to right instead of the correct right to left format required for the Arabic language

I am pretty sure that the numbers are correct and that they should be left to right, even in Arabic.

But even if you're right it's still not our problem.  They are automatically generated in Word.

The numbers look correct to me.

2.2.1.1 in English
remains 2.2.1.1 in Arabic that is the default (we are not talking about appearance here Malek and whether you want to show these in Arabic or Hindi. That is the correct way for proper cross referencing with the English language. In Arabic we would read this as item 1 of 1 of 2 of 2 so it flows correctly from right to left order.

On a different note Microsoft Translator Plugin does not work anymore after I installed the last update, so what should I do? Very very annoying issue that with every update, we have to update the plugins!!

Make sure you remove all your plugins before updating to SR1.  It's in the release notes and was well discussed in the beta ;-)  Then take the latest version for SR1 through the integrated appstore.

This is simply painful and very very time-consuming Paul!!! translators have no time to read release notes and the like, as you certainly know well.

Indeed.  I'm not going to repeat myself so maybe read this explanation:

We certainly don't like doing this because it's a hell of a lot of work for us too!  But you not only have te opportunity to learn about these changes before others as you were on the Beta, but if you don't read release notes then how are we supposed to inform you when there are important changes?  The time you saved not reading them probably turned into even more wasted time when you subsequently had problems!
