"Index was out of range. Must be non-negative and less than the size of the collection. Parameter name: index"

Since I installed the update SR1 5 days ago, this error message turns up when I try to confirm some segments (not all, about 10%) in Studio 2022 SR1 in some projects (not all, but all from Word or Excel).

I also updated Multiterm.

Deactivating the TMs didn't help.

Deleting and re-installing the project didn't help.

Thank you for your help

  • Hello,

I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing this issue with Trados Studio 2022 SR1. This error message usually occurs when the program tries to access an element from a collection that doesn't exist. Here are some steps you can take to resolve this issue:

Step 1: Ensure that all your Translation Memories (TMs) have identical settings. This includes the 'Recognize settings' and the 'List of abbreviations'. Having different settings in your TMs can sometimes cause this error.

Step 2: Change the order of your TMs. You can do this by going to Home > Project Settings > Language Pairs > All Language Pairs / [Relevant language Pair] > Translation Memory and Automated Translation. You may need to try different permutations to find the one that works.

Step 3: If the issue persists, you might want to consider rolling back to a previous version of Trados Studio until a fix is released. You can do this by uninstalling the current version and reinstalling the previous one.

Step 4: Keep an eye out for updates within the application. RWS is constantly working to improve Trados Studio and fix any bugs that arise, so it's possible that a solution to this issue will be included in a future update.

I hope these steps help you resolve the issue. If you have any other questions or need further assistance, please don't hesitate to ask.

    Best regards,
