Dear Trados Team,
I have two tmx: One is deDE>enGB, the other enGB>itIT. Is it possible to combine/triangulate the two based on the English translation units, to get a tmx/TM that is deDE>itIT?
It was possible with Trados Workbench 2007, where multilingual Translation Memories were a thing, but I'm looking for a solution with one of the newer versions of Trados.

As a concept no, TM's and are language pair specific just as the sdlxliff files are.
But as you want deDE into enGB and also have deDE into itIT - perhaps you can try out AnyTM which is a built in feature.
You would still have 2 TM's, but with AnyTM you can use a translation memory with languages that differ from the ones in your project
