I recreated the project and filled segments with automation from the TM, and I was able to create the target file.

However, I'd like to know how to prevent this error for future projects. I considered adding the local temp folder as an exclusion to Windows Security scan, but I don't think that's a good idea from a security perspective.

It may not be an error.

1. Did you create the projects or are they the result of receiving a package prepared by others?
2. Do you use One Drive or similar?

I created the projects myself, not the packages. I don't use One Drive or similar for Trados projects. All files are stored in the local drive, and I don't move files after creating the project.

Then there are two possible reasons as far as I see:

1. you are running some intrusive security or clean up software that regularly removes files that Studio needs to work correctly, or
2. there is a bug in Studio 2019

If the problem is the latter please make sure you are running this version:

Trados Studio 2019 SR2 - 15.2.8.3007
MultiTerm 2019 - 15.0.6.56482

If you are, and if it's a bug, your only option will be to upgrade as we no longer support 2019.

If you are running software that is impacting then you will need to try and narrow down what that is and then configure it to exclude Studio processes.

I only use Windows Security and no other security or clean-up software on my computer.

I've updated the Studio and MultiTerm to the versions you mentioned above years ago.

Well, it seems I'll need to live with the issue until I upgrade Studio...
