Problems for accessing to my Studio software

Hi team,

I am having issues to launch my 2017 Trados Studio software. The software seems to starts when clicked on or when a project is imported, but then this scenario appears:Screenshot showing a shaded, unresponsive SDL Trados Studio tab with the partial project name 'Autonomo...' visible.

“Autonomo…” is part of the last project name I completed on Trados Studio. Ever since it looks stucked when launched and, no matter what action I take, nothing changes. Nothing appears on screen, just this shaded tab. What can the root of the issue possibly be?

Thank you very much!

It looks as though you have two instances running.  Sorry to suggest the obvious first, but please try closing your computer and restarting it.  That should remove any processes stuck in the background and ensure you get a clean start.  Does that help?

Maybe Trados Studio is on a nother screen? If so, hover the mouse over the Trados Studio icon in the task bar, then right click on the thumbnail beside the icon, then select Move option and use the arrow keys to bring the Trados Studio window to your screen.

  • Hello,

I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble launching Trados Studio 2017. This issue could be due to a number of reasons, but let's try a few troubleshooting steps to see if we can resolve it:

Step 1: Run Trados Studio as an administrator. To do this, right-click on the Trados Studio icon and select 'Run as administrator' from the drop-down menu.

Step 2: If the problem persists, it could be due to an antivirus program interfering with Trados Studio. Temporarily disable your antivirus software and try launching Trados Studio again.

Step 3: If Trados Studio still doesn't launch, it might be due to a corrupted project. Try opening Trados Studio without loading the last project. To do this, hold down the 'Shift' key while launching Trados Studio. This will prevent the last project from loading.

Step 4: If none of the above steps work, you might need to reset your Trados Studio settings. Please note that this will remove all your personal settings and restore Trados Studio to its default state. To reset your settings, go to the 'Start' menu, type 'Trados Studio', right-click on the Trados Studio icon, and select 'Run as administrator'. Then, go to 'File' > 'Setup' > 'Reset to Default Settings'.

I hope these steps help you resolve the issue. If you're still having trouble, please let us know.

    Best regards,
