Windows 10 and Trados 2007

I have been comfortably working with Trados 2007 for a number of years and don't feel the need to upgrade right now. I had to get a new computer which is running Windows 10 and ... bad news ... they can't work together. Would a Windows 7 emulator do the job? Can I run 2 OSs (Win 10 and Win 7) on the same machine? does anyone have a quick, easy and frugal solution?

Trados 2007 should still work on Windows 10, I can't see why it shouldn't.
However, if you do have problems, you can run Windows 7 in a virtual machine, e.g. using VirtualBox from Oracle. This SW is free of charge and works flawlessly (virtual box.org). It is very widespread and well supported.
You'll need to run MS Office in the same VM though and be aware that you need enough HW resources, such as RAM (because you'll need the RAM for your host Windows 10 plus he RAM for your virtual machine when it is running). I would say that you should have at least 8 GB RAM (I hope your Windows 10 is a 64 bit version).
