Studio 2022 crashes when trying to save a QA report

Hello,

I use Trados Studio 2022 and have noticed that when trying to save QA reports (generated via Batch task) that Studio freezes/crashes and has to be forcibly closed using Task manager.

Has anyone else had this experience? I am able to look at the report generated before trying to save it, but it just freezes/crashes.

When I do run QA, Studio generates a "FILENAME_docx_de-DE_en-GB.ProjectFiles\Report" folder (I am not sure why Studio does this, or if there is a setting somewhere). The report is then saved there as an XML file which is not so ideal for me or subsequent checkers who might want to verify which Qa errors occurred for me.

Thanks!

I'm not sure why it's crashing... are you using SR1?

When I do run QA, Studio generates a "FILENAME_docx_de-DE_en-GB.ProjectFiles\Report" folder (I am not sure why Studio does this, or if there is a setting somewhere).

It does it to try and organise all the files you might have in a project and reports are placed in the reports folder.  Studio reads these xml files when you click on the reports view to look at the reports.

The report is then saved there as an XML file which is not so ideal for me or subsequent checkers who might want to verify which Qa errors occurred for me.

One things you might try using is this plugin:

    https://appstore.rws.com/Plugin/81

I just tested by installing from the integrated appstore in Studio:

Screenshot showing the XML reader in the integrated appstore.

This can read an XML file... but it looks as though it's failing for SR1.  So if you don't have SR1 yet you may be able to try this approach, and in the meantime we can work on updating this plugin for SR1.
