The Source texts between in the sdlxliff and translation memory's TU is perfectly same, but the matching score appears 99%, not 100%

Hello All

Today, I'd like to get your advice for the issue that I have experienced.

Before describing the situation, I'll share the version info of Trados Studio.

Currently, I'm using the Trados Studio 2019 SR2 15.2.8.3007 (the latest for Trados 2019)

And the penalty setting is like below.

Screenshot of Trados Studio penalty settings showing values for missing formatting, different formatting, multiple translations, auto-localization, text replacement, alignment, and character-width difference penalties.

When I get the request from the client and analyzed the file with the Translation memory (TM), there's a same English text between in the source file and TM's TU.

Therefore, it should have been locked as CM or 100% match, but it appears 99% match.

So, when I moved and hover the cursor on the score, it says just 'score: 99'.

Screenshot of Trados Studio interface displaying a 99% match score tooltip for a segment despite identical source text in the source file and TM's TU.

As you can see, the source text between in the source and TM's TU is perfectly same, but the trados didn't confirm it as 100% or CM.

I just compared both texts using Excel formula and it says also those two are same.

Screenshot of an Excel comparison showing SDLXLIFF's source and TM's source texts are identical with a 'TRUE' result for comparison.

And when I copied the text from the TM and using find function in the sdlxliff, the text matches with the one in the source too.

Screenshot of Trados Studio's 'Find and Replace' function highlighting the identical text in the source file that matches the text from the TM.

Therefore, I guess it's not a problem with formatting. But don't know the reason why this issue happens.

So, any professional advice would be welcomed:).

Look forward to get useful comments soon.
