Icons in custom font in MS PowerPoint not exported properly to target file

Question

How can I make sure icons in a custom font are shown property in target PowerPoint? 
 Many PowerPoints that I translate use a custom font for certain icons that appear with the text: 
 
 These icons use a different (custom) font from the text next to it. When I translate these files in Trados Studio 2022 SR1 - 17.16.16252/Trados Live, the edtitor view does show these icons correctly in the source segments: 
 
 However, when I copy the icons to the target segment and translate normally, they are not (or at least not all) exported correctly to the target file: 
 
 In PowerPoint the font appears to be correct, just not showing the correct icon, but when creating an XML of the target PowerPoint, it appears that certain formatting has been added or replaced. 
 How can I have Trados export these icons in a cusom font correctly?

 Can you share a small sample of this part? Just copy a single slide, anonymise the text, zip it and share it by attaching to your post.

 Can you also tell me what the problem is exactly with this? If I open the source file I can see there are already lots of placeholders for the fonts used because I don't have the "ultimo-system" on my computer. So when I also save the target the target looks exactly the same as the source.

 The only thing I noted is missing tags, so it may be worth you running a tag check and see if the places where you see a problem also have a tag difference:

 Is it possible for you to make the font available to me? If you are sure that these fonts display correctly for you with the source powerpoint then I think it would be helpful to be able to test this properly, reproduce the error and then get it fixed. Right now I feel as though I'm working completely in the dark. The source powerpoint won't work for me, so it's no surprise really that nothing else will. 
 If it's possible you can make it available at pfilkin at sdl dotcom.
