Termbase viewer

I am using Trados Studio 2022 SR1 - 17.1.6.16252.

Recently, the Termbase Viewer is defaulting to the Flags Layout when the program is started. Each open termbase has to be manually reset to the Default Layout to allow for easy editing. However, this only lasts until the program is restarted.

This is a new issue.

Any ideas?

  • Hello Andrew,

I understand that your Termbase Viewer in Trados Studio 2022 SR1 is defaulting to the Flags Layout upon startup, and you have to manually reset it to the Default Layout each time. This indeed seems unusual.

Here's a step-by-step guide to help you resolve this issue:

Step 1: Open Trados Studio and navigate to the Termbase Viewer.

Step 2: Set your preferred layout (in this case, the Default Layout).

Step 3: Once you've set your layout, go to the "File" menu at the top left corner of the application.

Step 4: From the dropdown menu, select "Setup" and then "User Interface".

Step 5: In the User Interface settings, look for an option that says "Save settings on exit". Make sure this option is checked.

Step 6: Click "OK" to save your changes and close the settings window.

Step 7: Now, close Trados Studio and reopen it to see if your changes have been saved.

If the issue persists, it might be due to a software glitch. In such a case, I would recommend reinstalling the software. Remember to back up your settings and projects before doing so.

I hope this helps! If you have any other questions or need further assistance, feel free to ask.

    Best regards,
