You are referring to a section within "Changes introduced in Trados Studio 2017". Adaptive MT in the way it worked with the old statistical engines was discontinued when we moved to NMT many years ago. Today you can still have what we refer to as Adaptive but it works in a different way: https://www.rws.com/language-weaver/resources/how-to-adapt-language-weaver-mt-in-trados-studio/
I'm also certain we included you in the early Beta for this some time ago.

Thanks for this swift reply! Yes, I did notice that the section referenced is about Trados Studio 2017; I also see that it is still part of the documentation of Studio 2022 SR1, with no mention of its being discontinued. (In fact, no other mention of in anywhere in the documentation.)
