Is it possible to import one Excel file with multiple worksheets in SDL Trados Studio 2022?

I have an Excel file that contains multiple worksheets. Is it possible to import all the worksheets at once in SDL Trados Studio 2022?

When I try to import one, Trados only process the first sheet. I don't want to breakdown my original Excel file in multiple files (one per worksheet).

  • Hello,

I understand your concern about importing an Excel file with multiple worksheets into Trados Studio 2022. Unfortunately, Trados Studio currently only processes the first sheet of an Excel file when importing.

However, there is a workaround you can use without breaking down your original Excel file into multiple files. Here are the steps:

Step 1: Open your Excel file in MS Office.

Step 2: Make a manual change to each of the worksheets, such as adding and removing a space in any cell.

    Step 3: Save the file.

Step 4: Open the saved file in Trados Studio 2022.

Please ensure that the setting 'Embedded Excel Charts and Sheets' is enabled in the 'Common' section of the 'File Type' configuration in Trados Studio. This will allow the content of the embedded Excel files to be extracted for translation.

I hope this helps! If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.
