Why is the launch version (CU8) not differentiating between TU match and not?

Steps to produce:

In Review mode, open a translated project composed of CM, 100% and fuzzy matches plus new translated content.

Confirm a segment. The focus moves to a segment that is a CM match identical to the TU shown in the Translations Results.

Make a change in the segment. Click out and back in again. Normally, the changed segment would trigger a change of colour in the Origin: toolbar from egg yellow to a pinky yellow to indicate a target textual difference between the segment and the TU. There is no change. No tooltip indicates that the translated segment content differs from the TU content.

Am I missing something? I've just come home from a busy weekend away with not enough sleep so maybe I'm not 'seeing straight'...

All the best,

  • Me again... Oh my, confusion reigns.

The above happened in the tweaked CU8 beta, then again in the launch version.

However, on closing and opening the same file in the launch version, and repeating the process, all is doing as it should be.

Screenshot of Trados Studio showing a segment with a CM label and text 'Example: Y(ST)Y 2x2x0.8 (shielded cable design and twisted cable pairs)' with a glowy pinkish color indicating a non-matching segment.

A lovely glowy pinkish colour to indicate that the segment doesn't match the TU content. Just as it should be.

Maybe it's just the complexity of the job I'm working on.

Worry not. Let's put it down to being 'just one of those things'...

Though, I'd still prefer a greater difference between the two colours...

    Sorry!
